the office was closed when I arrived at 8:15 pm, which was so unprofessional. Then, I was kept awake all night by scratching sounds in the walls. I almost left a good review but I expected a free upgrade for all the hassle—were they just too busy to care? Cozy creek, really?

The creek nearby was soothing and relaxing.

Arriving at night was a nightmare. The office was closed, and trying to locate the cottage was incredibly frustrating, especially without proper phone service. Additionally, I was kept awake all night by odd scratching noises coming from the walls. I was really disappointed with the lack of follow-up from management during this time.

Staying here was a treat! We could step out to our back deck and enjoy the beautiful sound of the creek, while our kids played nearby. The full kitchen helped us whip up quick meals, and we loved grilling after a day of exploring Maggie Valley.

My wife says that a more kid-friendly layout would be great.

It was just a perfect match for a whistle-stop in Maggie Valley with good value for money. The staff was friendly and accommodating. they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Try to arrive in daylight to avoid any check-in confusion.

the only downside was that the couch was uncomfortable. but we loved the creek sound right outside our door and the cozy kitchen was super convenient. the peacocks and animals around made our stay unique and memorable!
